Speech Server .NET is a project started by
Marco Minerva at January 18th, 2007.
Speech Server .NET aims to add functionalities of Text-To-Speech (TTS) and Automatic Speech Recnognition (ASR) to handheld devices like Pocket PC and Smartphone, running Windows Mobile, that are wirelessly connected to a server. This server is able to generate a speech stream from an arbitrary text and to recognize the text that is contained in the audio stream it receives.
System requirements:

- Visual Studio 2005
- .NET Framework 3.0 for the server
- .NET Compact Framework 2.0 SP1 or later for the client
- Windows Mobile 5.0 SDK for Pocket PC, available at MSDN, for the application example
- Smart Device Framework 2.0 or later, available at http://www.opennetcf.org, for the application example
